Absolutely wonderful vet services. They are incredibly kind to my 3 dogs and always take the time to give options and explain the pros and cons. They stay on top of new treatments that become available to update if needed. They are also very open about their pricing, so there are no surprises. Honestly cannot say enough good things about this place!

Great vet in West Bloomington area. Especially if you have parrots, I have heard. I no longer keep parrots, but they take great care of my elderly dog. Would be a 5 start, but it seems like they need a better software system to help vets and staff minimize sorting through numerous notes. I felt like I was often repeating/reminding my dogs meds and dosages to the staff. I think it's a catch-22 because the clinic is obviously diligent about all staff logging notes, which is fabulous! But, I think it makes it tough on the vets because the notes pertaining to their function are buried amongst misc notes. That's just a guess on my part, but all in all, they are a fabulous clinic.
I loved how friendly they were. They explained everything thoroughly and i loved how welcoming I felt. I brought my Guinea pig in and again everyone was so nice and professional.
South Hyland cares for my dogs the way that I do. They understand that my dogs are my family .They always provide me with all of my options and are very thoughtful and kind in their practice. I am so glad I found this vet when I moved to the twin cities. Finding a vet you can trust is so important and I trust South Hyland with my dogs.
I’ve taken all of my pets here for the past 10 years ( Chinchilla, Dog and Cat) and highly recommend them. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable AND caring. They answer questions thoroughly, walk you through options and have always had 100% compassion and understanding throughout all my appointments, procedures and communications. I drive from Eden Prairie to go here…they’re worth it!
I went to South Hyland Pet Hospital after having a bad experience at another local vet clinic in the area. What a breath of fresh air. They were so kind to me and my cat and the vet told me everything that was available to me but didn’t pressure me to get anything and made sure not to charge me unless I wanted to do whatever procedure. She gave my cat who was nervous some treats and cat nip and made him feel right at home. Your pets and wallet are safe at this vet and would recommend to everyone!
There are limited vets for small exotics in the metro area and south hyland is one of them. My hamster underwent two tumor removal surgeries at South Hyland and received excellent care through and through. They were able to schedule her quickly for an emergency visit as well and treated her with compassion when it was time to say goodbye. Though they are not the closest vet to me, I am likely to choose them as my vet for my next pet and appreciate the kindness their staff have shown during my time as a client so far.
